Tetris is another classic arcade game that many kids across multiple generations have spent hours playing. The game was developed in Russia and features the signature Korobeiniki theme that gets stuck in the heads of everyone who plays the game.
Tetris is essentially a puzzle game. Various shapes will fall from the top of the screen, and your job is to stack them at the bottom in an orderly, structured way. You can move the blocks around as they fall down, and you can make them fall faster by holding the ‘down’ button. You can also rotate them to change their orientation.
The goal is to fill all of the empty space at the bottom of the screen in a line. You’ll find that when you do this using blocks of matching colors, they will vanish, and the space that they once occupied will be opened up once more. This is the only way that pieces can be removed from the screen.
The game ends when the blocks touch the top of the screen after they have stopped falling. Try to get as many matching blocks as possible to avoid this!
