Asteroids is a classic arcade game that millions of kids and adults around the world have been playing for years and years. In Asteroids, your goal is to navigate through the field of floating asteroids and avoid them while shooting and destroying them. Each time you destroy a large asteroid, it will break apart into smaller parts, and so on, until the whole thing has been destroyed. You can destroy the asteroids by shooting them.
Each time you collide with an asteroid, you will lose a life. Once all of your lives are gone, the game will end, and you will have to start again. Be warned, though. Since there is no gravity in space, your ship will continue to slide in the direction you propelled it last, even if your hands are off the keyboard, so make sure that you don’t let yourself accidentally slide into one of the asteroids, lest it cost you the whole game.
